SME Technical Application EngineerROLE SUMMARYCustomer is seeking for several Operations Engineers who will effectively execute / manage support actions and requests for the migrated locally hosted apps at the sites of PerkinElmer to ensure reliability, continuity, user-experience and performance for the business end users. The role will be in Pune, India, and reports into an Application Lead for a specific area (SAP, Commercial, Data, Enterprise).KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAct as issue owner for related technical and functional issues for the concerned applications. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, where needed in coordination with local support, key users, infrastructure or security teams and external partnersPerform thorough root cause analysis and propose and implement structural fixes to prevent reocurrenceEscalate critical issues to a higher level, where necessary, ensuring swift resolutionDefine required metrics and steer on them to ensure continuity of the migrated locally hosted applicationsIdentify user base and support needs to ensure appropriate operational management of the applications and align this with service delivery management Identify available vendor support and where needed adjust or extend the service to align to needs together with Service Delivery ManagementComplete and maintain the CMDB with the relevant information for concerned application scopeAfter the TSA Exit, the responsibilities of this role may evolve following PerkinElmers long term support strategy and approach. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSOperational experience with variety of application types and various technology stacks (SaaS, web applications, custom build solutions, COTS), preferably in an international / global contextAnalytical and structured approachHands-on approach and entrepreneurial mindset to define pragmatic solutions based on needs and timingStrong communication skills and ability to interact with diverse communities across the organization.
