4 QA Automation Testers

Hybrid, must live in Texas by start date and be available for occasional onsite meetings in Austin.The QA Automation Tester (QA Engineer Automated) designs automated tests bycreating scripts that run testing functions automatically. This includes determiningthe priority for test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement thesescenarios. Designing documentation for automated processes. will work incollaboration with the development team to ensure DFPS business needs arereflected in the quality and usability of software code that is developed anddeployed. Mitigate timeline and accuracy risks associated with software codingchanges by discovering defects in software code prior to its release tointernal and external customers. Strong analytical, interpersonal,organizational, and both written and verbal communications skills with softwaretesting experience are necessary. Works independently to performs a variety ofcomplicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Softwaretesting will involve working with the IT project team as well as program staffat DFPS. 

Specific job duties may include:

?        Developing and maintainingtest cases for running testing functions automatically.
?        Developing, maintaining,and upgrading automated test scripts.
?        Reviewing, analyzing andexecuting automated test cases within Selenium.
?        Working with projectBusiness analyst to correctly interpret business processes and requirements.
?        Working with QA Lead to determineassignments and deadlines.
?        Creating, maintaining andtesting of application defects within HP ALM.
?        Use of the complete MSOffice suite.
?        Other duties as assigned.
 
Servicesare expected to start 10/04/2023 and are expected to completeby 08/31/2024. Services shall be provided during normal business hoursunless otherwise coordinated through the Texas Department of Family andProtective Services. Normal business hours are Monday through Fridayfrom 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when theagency is closed.
The primary work location(s) will be at 4900 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, TX78751. Any and all travel, per diem, parking, and/or living expensesshall be at the Candidate"s expense. 
Candidates selected for this opportunity may be required tophysically attend meetings in Austin, TX, with minimal notice. 
Candidates currently residing outside of the State of Texas, will berequired to relocate to Texas, if selected for this position and the offer isaccepted.

In order to assist in quickly acclimating the contractor to DFPS/ITS, theywill be required to attend a virtual onboarding session and to physically pickup agency issued equipment in Austin, TX on their first day of contract. Therewill be additional appointments and blocks of time that the contractor willneed to attend during their first week of assignment. Rescheduling ofthese events may result in the contractor?s start date to be delayed.
